I'm back!

Yes. After practically a year of not posting, I'm back! (most of you probably forgot you even followed me in the first place but oh well such is life)

I don't really have any excuses as to why I didn't post other than I didn't want to, so let's just put it at that.

Also, since it's been practically a year since I last visited blogger with the intention of posting, I decided to tell you what I've been up to! :DDD But instead of just typing what I did like I usually do, I took some pictures, since pretty much all of my time over the past year has been focused around these things.

To sum up mostly everything that happened, here's this. (I also got a laptop back in November, but I didn't feel like placing it in the picture... .-.)

OKAY. I assume mostly everyone here likes American Girl, so you all likely noticed the three AG dolls. Well, from left to right, their names are: Eril, Nora, and *unnamed*. I actually bought Eril last July, but I don't believe I have ever put up a picture of her on my blog. D: Nora I bought with my own money, and I wrapped up her box in wrapping paper to give to myself as a Christmas gift on the winter solstice. (don't judge me) And finally, the unnamed doll I received from one of my closest friends before she moved away. *sheds tear*

Next off, I've been knitting up a storm. I've been able to knit since fourth grade, but I couldn't knit more than 26 stitches a day without clawing my eyes out in boredom, so I kinda stopped. But THEN, five years passed, and I was suddenly able to sit for hours and hours and knit! YAY AGING! I usually make fingerless gloves, but that got really monotonous so I made some armwarmers for myself (they're the striped things on the right), and right now I'm knitting a lap blanket for when I play video games. (long story)

NEXTLY. A few months ago, (April, I think), I got my very first flute! X333 It's the Gemeinhardt 50th Anniversary Special Edition flute (or something to that effect), and it's like my child. (Except I treat it better than I treat children. Not that I treat kids badly.)
It has a 14k gold lip plate and a 12k rose gold riser (I think it's 12k), a gold crown, and an all silver headjoint. And the lip plate is engraved and OH MY GLOB JUST LOOK AT IT ASDFGHJKL; IT'S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T EVEN-
Oh right, and the body and keys are all silver as well, and the springs are 9k white gold. Ahh, the keys... X3
...then there's this one. :I I seriously have no clue why this key's all messed up. It's all tarnished and there's a bit of rust (but silver doesn't rust so wut) and I just... What.

Ah right, back to the first picture. About a month ago I bought a 3DS, mostly because I needed to be able to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf since I have all the games except for the Japanese exclusive games for the N64 and the Japanese Gamecube games. .-.
See? Oh, and I have another Wild World because I lost my first one... eheheh... yOU SAW NOTHING.

Oh right, and I've been playing Harvest Moon a LOT lately. I'm not nearly as big of a HM fan as I am an AC fan (lol puns), but I do love the series enough to have four games.
I've been playing Animal Parade a LOT over the summer, and it's by far my favourite Harvest Moon game from the ones I have. (I also have Friends of Mineral Town, but I never got into it and then I lost it...) I only like AP because of the hot guys and I love you Chase. *coughs* I haven't played A New Beginning much yet, mostly because the beginning is really slow and I'm just waiting for all the attractive eligible bachelors to show up but they aren't yet but at least Neil is here but he's a jerk I just have been doing other things.

I got Yumie and Arashi new wigs! (Actually, Yumie's hairstyle right now is based off of one of my favourite Harvest Moon characters.) :DDD

You see the thing behind the two game boxes in the picture? An iced tea bottle. I have been drinking more tea than water, I'll-have-you-know. (I made a few posts about tea last year, I think, so this shouldn't surprise you if you have read my blog before). Speaking of tea, we went to D.C. just last week and there was an awesome tea store there called Capital Teas and I bought some very nice Cream Earl Grey tea there (Definitely the best Earl Grey tea I have ever had in my entire life. *~*) and something else.
It was loose leaf tea, so... <.< (I love this little guy so much.)

Oh, and the puffin between Nora and Eril is there because I finally cosplayed Iceland like I wanted to and I went to a convention during Spring Break and it was aMAZING. Therefore, Mr. Puffin.

And finally, I have decided my future. I plan to become a paleontologist. I've said a lot of things before, but this is the only thing I've wanted to be my entire life that has always been something I couldn't imagine not doing at some point. Ever since I was four years old I've wanted to do this. Right, and for those of you who don't know, a paleontologist is a geologist who specializes in uncovering fossils of ancient life. I've always wanted to be a vertebrate paleontologist, which means I'd specialize in fossils of animals that have backbones; i.e. Dinosaurs, bony fish, mammals, etc. I can't exactly put a scientific field of study in a picture, so I put a Jurassic Park book in there instead. Close enough. (I'm actually a huge Jurassic Park fan, and I highly recommend both the books and the first movie. The other movies... they're, well... um... yeah. Not good.) But I digress... Just dinosaurs, man. I mean, I love dinosaurs. So. Very. Much. Just look at my checked out library books!
If that doesn't say, "Hello, I am a major geek and I absolutely love dinosaurs and I don't care who sees me with these books", I dunno what does.

Well, there you have it. My year summed up as best as I can in one photo, with others being all descriptive. But the first one is the summing up one. ;3

Also, I'm very sorry for leaving you guys for practically a whole year. That was just... whoa. I should've at least stopped to let you all know I wasn't dead or that I didn't go off the grid or something. Usually I would make some kinda promise saying I won't leave like that without warning ever ever again or something, but I'm in High School and school is absolutely my top priority now (as it sorta was last year) so I can't promise regular posts. I'll try my best to at the very least keep you updated once a month, though! That's my promise. Once a month. Sorta. Yeah...

~Miranda~

P.S. Sorry I missed my three year blogoversary back in July. Whoops.
