Dollies!!! (and more~~~!)

So, I thought I'd actually do some doll stuff instead of lazing around all day like I usually do! I took pictures, and today- unlike most of the time- I will ACTUALLY show them! :o Shocking, yes.


Without further ado, I would like to begin! X)

Starting from the oldest "new" pictures I needed to show(I took them today, but it's old news), here's my giant way-too-freaking-heavy-hunk-of-metal-that-makes-words machine typewriter! X3 I love it sooo so so so so much! I don't even care if it's not the shiny black "antique" typewriter that I had in my imagination that I've always pined for! This one is AWESOME!!! It even came with type-white! (basically, strips of white out, if you don't know what type white is. ;) It's kind of funny, because on the back of the plastic holder for the strips, it says, "Copyright 1966". XD)

"The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma." -Patrick Star, Spongebob Squarepants.  Well, not in this case! There's the ink wheels and the keys(the long things that- if you look closely- have little "keys" on the end). I love figuring out how things work, so this fascinates me. ;)

So, I never showed you guys her dragon tattoo, so, yeah... Oh, and the reason why her hand is missing is because it fell off. I already ordered an obitsu a while ago, so it should be coming soon. (^_^;)"

Yumie holdin' mah pocketwatch. X) I love that thing soo much(the watch, not the doll. Well, I love her too- you know what I mean. -_-)

Close up on the watch (If you'll take a closer look, a) you can see straight through the watch to her dress because it's totally amazing, and b) her hand is grey-ish because I-don't-know-why. She came like that, and it really bothers me, so that's another reason why I bought her a new body.)

My watchy buddy. :D Whenever I leave the house I have this in my pocket. (This is probably one of my favourite birthday presents ever; and yes, I have gotten AG dolls as b-day presents before(actually, 1/3 of my dolls I got for my birthday!), but I take this EVERYWHERE, and I get tons of use out of it, and I <3 clocks sooo much, so... ^^;" Don't hate me.)

Guess what? It even has a STAND! *O* Now THAT is a classy pocketwatch if I've ever seen one!

 Oh, and sometime last week, I put the green wig I bought in December for a future custom doll on Yumie. It's a little big, but she looks so pretty!

 Emo hair. XD I was kind of blocking her light... (._. )

There, that should have caught everything up! I mean, not EVERYTHING, but still...


Also, while this is a picture post and I'm on the topic, I will be selling Chrissa, so I'll be giving her a "Moving away/goodbye" photostory and a "last hurrah" post containing every picture I have EVER taken of Chrissa. :'( I'm going to be really sad to see her go, but... I'm going to AG Place St. Louis sometime this month, and I wanted to have enough money to buy a new doll(or two!) and some outfits. Currently, I have $84 saved up, but I need about $13 to buy a new book on the 24th, so I would not have enough at all. 


Anyway, my point is, I'm selling Chrissa, I'm really sad about that, I'm buying a new doll, and I'm possibly getting new outfits. ;) I was going to also sell some other doll stuff I never use (like a doll salon chair that kind of sucks), so my $$$ may increase by anywhere from $100- $150 more than I have now, so I'll have to start planning what I will buy! X3

Can you believe me I am, Still Alive!

... Much to your dismay. XD But really, the title is part of the lyrics to a song from a game called Portal. (Yes, I'm THAT big of a geek. XP)

But, anyway, the reason why I'm posting today is... well... I'm not sure. But, I guess I could/am going to tell you about the one thing I have planned for my dolls next! :D

BUT FIRST!!! I have a question. Would you like me to post some of the drawings I have done so far on my blog? If you want to answer, check my poll with your answer RIGHT NOW. (I'd prefer if you went back and read the rest of this post afterwards! XD)

So, my mom is starting to sort of buy a new sewing machine since our "good one" like, imploded(lol not really) so it doesn't work anymore. But, aside from this "minor setback" that keeps the two of us from quilting, we still have a really crappy sewing machine from the 1980's. :(

Why am I telling you this? Well, my point is that I plan on sewing special outfits for my dolls. Yes, special outfits.

If you remember on my doll's blog, Gwen mentioned that everyone portrays a country? Well, since I'm that big of a geek(with the emphasis on THAT) I'm going to be sewing little cosplays for them! :D I figured out how to draft my own patterns for them, and since I REALLY do like sewing, I figured, "Why not?" and I'm probably going to start it really soon. :3

On a similar note, I already explained to my mom that I'm going to be starting to make a Fem! Canada cosplay. So, since I can't knit to save my life, she's going to be knitting a hooded red cardigan with a white band across the bottom with red maple leaves inside the band (yeah, I felt really bad about asking for something ya know, THAT precise/intricate, but the event is like, in January, so I'm giving her lots of time to make it... ) (._. ) And I'm going to be drafting the patterns for the "suit" and sewing it myself, so THAT will certainly be interesting! (^_^;)"

Haha, what I do in my free time. Or, at least, plan on doing! XD

So, to sum things up, I'm going to be sewing outfits that look like the ones worn by characters in an anime(and manga, btw) for my dollings and myself. ^-^ I'm super excited, but It'll be... interesting... to say the least! Heh heh...

Oh, and my birthday's on the 23rd, just in case anyone was wondering about that. .___.

So, uhh... yeah. (I fail at ending posts, as you can tell. *nervous laugh*)

Hi again. :(

I don't really know why, but I've been feeling kind of depressed lately. I straightened Chrissa's hair today, and she looks SOOO pretty, but I haven't had much more joy in my life other than that. My best friend and I haven't really had any REAL conversation in a while, so that just kind of makes me sad. And, I'm really stressed between practicing two instruments for an audition for two REALLY hard to get into bands, and ALSO balancing homework, not to mention finding some downtime. I'm just kind of overwhelmed and sad, I guess.

On top of this sadness, I'm usually thinking as deep as I can about the point in life. I just can't put my finger on it...

BUT, I can't have an ENTIRELY sad post, can I?!?! Well, I decided that I might start making some doll outfits to sell on etsy, so you might have that to look forward to(I JUST need some money for patterns and material.) I just had TONS of fun when I made a hoodie for Kylie the other day, and I'm pretty proud of myself. :D

Has there been any time in your life where you felt more sad then you have before?

I don't know.

I really don't. I just don't know what to make of life anymore. I'm NOT going insane or anything, but I've just been thinking about everything. EVERYTHING you could POSSIBLY think of!

For example, just now I have been thinking (already) about Christmas, and I've been thinking about dolls, and I've been thinking about anime, and video games, and well... EVERYTHING!!!

And, on top of that, I just recently thought that I want a Pullip, but they make AG dolls seem like something you could buy everyday! D: THEY'RE SO EXPENSIVE!!!!! But, I ALSO want to make Cailin and Xaos(That's the name for my boy doll! :D) but there's just not enough money in the world right now for EVERYTHING I want to get!

I feel really bad about not making YouTube videos, but Windows Movie Maker keeps crashing on me, so I get REALLY pissed off and curse, and then I just walk away, so I NEED to find a new program! If you know of any free video editing software, let me know. ;)

Basically, I've just been trying to find myself, but I don't really know what to do about it. I KNOW life isn't always sugar coated, and I never said it was, but I just want to COMPLETELY figure out who I am so I can be happy again. :( I noticed that all my dolls, they all represent a part of me(except for my Sonali, who is a stuck up snob). Of course, SOME of them are so alike, there's no difference in them at all; such as Felicity and Hollie. But, lately, I've been feeling like a mix between Hollie and Kylie. In other words, senseless violence and sort of ninja.(Don't ask about the ninja part.)

Also, I don't really "fit in" with anyone. Sure, I'm a doll person, but not like the other doll people. I'm not a nerd, I'm not a "normal" person, as I call them(i.e. pretty clothes and straight hair and blah blah blah. I'm sorry if that offends you.) I'm NOT a sporty person, and I'm not a role-playing nerd. I'm sorry if I just offended you, but I just really don't know.

It seems like I'm the only one of my "kind". I'm a doll person, I LOVE zombie movies, and weapons, and video games, and anime, and steampunk(look it up if you don't know what it is). I'm SURE someone out there likes this stuff too, but I seem like the only one that likes this stuff, because none of my friends know what I'm talking about. At all. Well, EXCEPT for Phoebe, but that's only really with doll stuff.

For now, I won't have pictures, mostly because my camera doesn't have batteries. :(

BUT, I made a tee shirt for my dolls today! :D WHY is this so amazing??? Well, this is the first actual piece of clothing I made for my dolls! :o

I'm quite proud of it.
