Sad news...

For the past few days, I have had a really bad cold and have been unable to work on my doll room- making it near impossible for me to introduce my new doll with a photostory. :'( So, I apologise for the wait, but I obviously can't do much without having a clean room. DX We're also leaving for Destin, Florida sometime in the coming week, so clearly I can't do anything then. (But I'll try to have fun and take pictures! That is, if we do anything interesting... :\)


Once we come back from vacation, we'll have to make an emergency trip to Canada because well, last night my grandpa kinda died, so... (._. ) yeah... :'( Now I don't have any grandparents.


So, yeah. I basically can't do much but go on YouTube and watch Death Note, or get soup/hot chocolate and go on the computer... Which is basically describing the same thing... :P I tried reading books, but my eyes went all buggy and I ended up taking a nap instead~. xP So~~~ I'm basically not doing anything different than when I was in Missouri last week, but NOW I have an excuse to be a lazy jackwagon! :D


I have been feeling better today, so I may or may not try to be productive...

I'm back~!

I came back from vacation Thursday evening, and I have to say; I go on vacation quite a lot (probably two-three times per year, every year) but this time I was the happiest to be back. It just felt so nice to have my own bed again to sleep in, and be back with all my video games and dolls... XD


Speaking of dolls, I bought another doll, just like I said I would! X3 I bought a number MYAG #56, and she's so gorgeous!!! I'm going to wait to tell about her until I have pictures, which will take place in my doll area. (I'm going to do a "meet the rest of the group" thing- like what I did with Willow- soon) 


My doll "room" is still demolished; but it's getting better!  I have two rooms totally regenerated (Willow's, which wasn't bad to start with, and Kanani's), and I'm going to add a lot more rooms- one of which my new doll will share with her older sister*. But I was going to build an actual bed and make awesome sheets for it, so it'll be a while. ;3 (I was going to add a kitchen, possibly a bathroom, and give my dolls better bedrooms with more shtuff organized and all that.)


I suppose it won't really spoil too much of her character if I just tell you her name and where she's from, so why not?


(I hope I've made it obvious that I like foreign countries already, so she's going along with my "theme") Her name is Eril, and she's Icelandic. X3 I really love Iceland and the other Nordic countries**, so... ;D I'm thinking of a good patronymic***(see footnote) to give her, because in Iceland, they don't use family names like we do here. (I had thought of one, but then I did some research on the country, and it turns out I had given her a male name... >.<;") I have some time to think, because they don't even really mention their patronymic all that often in Iceland... It's kind of like... how we don't generally use our middle names. ^^;"


Alright! I apologise for not having any pictures of my vacation, but seriously the most interesting thing we did was go up in the St. Louis Gateway Arch, I forgot my camera in the car when we went there... (._. )

*Eril's sister: I mentioned Eril having an older sister. Well, just as an FYI, her sister's name is Nora, and she's supposed to be a MYAG #39. I'll explain why they're named that way and why they don't really look alike at all later. ;) *trolling*


**Nordic countries: you can look them up online if you're not sure, but I'll tell ya! It consists of Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and their territories. ^-^ Scandinavia is just Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, in case you're wondering. (btw, I'm currently trying to learn Norwegian. And I've been actually trying- unlike when I tried to learn French about a year ago. (I wanna move to Norway or Iceland one day. Like fo' reals, yo.) ;D)


***Patronymic: If you have heard of the Viking Erik the Red, you've probably heard of his son, Leif Eriksson. (Get it?) Leif is Erik's son, so that's his last name; Eriksson. That's currently the best example of a well-known patronymic I can give right now. But, a female patronymic would have the father's first name and the suffix "dóttir". And, in case you're wondering, a matronymic is where they use the mother's first name instead of the father's in the "last name".


P.S. Lol I added lots of footnotes... I researched the second and third ones over vacation (I did my research because I was bored... and then I wrote this post.) and now I really really really want to move to Iceland or Norway- ANYWAY the footnotes were all historically accurate, so if you don't like history, too bad!! >:D

Dollies!!! (and more~~~!)

So, I thought I'd actually do some doll stuff instead of lazing around all day like I usually do! I took pictures, and today- unlike most of the time- I will ACTUALLY show them! :o Shocking, yes.


Without further ado, I would like to begin! X)

Starting from the oldest "new" pictures I needed to show(I took them today, but it's old news), here's my giant way-too-freaking-heavy-hunk-of-metal-that-makes-words machine typewriter! X3 I love it sooo so so so so much! I don't even care if it's not the shiny black "antique" typewriter that I had in my imagination that I've always pined for! This one is AWESOME!!! It even came with type-white! (basically, strips of white out, if you don't know what type white is. ;) It's kind of funny, because on the back of the plastic holder for the strips, it says, "Copyright 1966". XD)

"The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma." -Patrick Star, Spongebob Squarepants.  Well, not in this case! There's the ink wheels and the keys(the long things that- if you look closely- have little "keys" on the end). I love figuring out how things work, so this fascinates me. ;)

So, I never showed you guys her dragon tattoo, so, yeah... Oh, and the reason why her hand is missing is because it fell off. I already ordered an obitsu a while ago, so it should be coming soon. (^_^;)"

Yumie holdin' mah pocketwatch. X) I love that thing soo much(the watch, not the doll. Well, I love her too- you know what I mean. -_-)

Close up on the watch (If you'll take a closer look, a) you can see straight through the watch to her dress because it's totally amazing, and b) her hand is grey-ish because I-don't-know-why. She came like that, and it really bothers me, so that's another reason why I bought her a new body.)

My watchy buddy. :D Whenever I leave the house I have this in my pocket. (This is probably one of my favourite birthday presents ever; and yes, I have gotten AG dolls as b-day presents before(actually, 1/3 of my dolls I got for my birthday!), but I take this EVERYWHERE, and I get tons of use out of it, and I <3 clocks sooo much, so... ^^;" Don't hate me.)

Guess what? It even has a STAND! *O* Now THAT is a classy pocketwatch if I've ever seen one!

 Oh, and sometime last week, I put the green wig I bought in December for a future custom doll on Yumie. It's a little big, but she looks so pretty!

 Emo hair. XD I was kind of blocking her light... (._. )

There, that should have caught everything up! I mean, not EVERYTHING, but still...


Also, while this is a picture post and I'm on the topic, I will be selling Chrissa, so I'll be giving her a "Moving away/goodbye" photostory and a "last hurrah" post containing every picture I have EVER taken of Chrissa. :'( I'm going to be really sad to see her go, but... I'm going to AG Place St. Louis sometime this month, and I wanted to have enough money to buy a new doll(or two!) and some outfits. Currently, I have $84 saved up, but I need about $13 to buy a new book on the 24th, so I would not have enough at all. 


Anyway, my point is, I'm selling Chrissa, I'm really sad about that, I'm buying a new doll, and I'm possibly getting new outfits. ;) I was going to also sell some other doll stuff I never use (like a doll salon chair that kind of sucks), so my $$$ may increase by anywhere from $100- $150 more than I have now, so I'll have to start planning what I will buy! X3

My blogoversery! (important stuff! You should read)

The title says it all! Well, more like only the very beginning. As you may have guessed, today, July 7, is my two year blogoversery! I know I haven't been the BEST blogger, or the most diligent blogger, or even the most polite blogger, in the past few years, but hey, I have some followers, and they all mean a lot to me. Seriously, you guys are the best. If I can get 1 more follower, I might do a special post involving some pictures that are NEW! =D

I know, shocker. But, I figured that I'm super DUPER bored, and it IS the summer, so... yeah. It's kind of hard for me to do doll photos right now because my doll room/house is DEMOLISHED. And, on top of that- Oh forget it. This is a happy day! :D

And this photo, I took last summer around early July. I actually took it at Phoebe's house when we did our "Dolls and Basketball" thing! Willow(on the right) is mine, and Emily is Phoebe's. ;)

Seriously, though, you guys are the BEST! I don't even mind the fact that I've had 34 followers for the past year, I'm just glad I have that many!

In fact, I've decided that I'll have the rest of July set aside for requests! If there's any of my dolls you want to see a picture of, or a picture of them doing something together, please comment, send me a PM, something! Anything! If I see a request for a picture (pretty much anything except for what I or my family/friends look like. ;) Safety measures.) I will fill that request! :D

Anyway, you guys mean the world to me. It makes me feel like even though I have a relatively unstable personality, there are some people out there who care. ;)

Happy Canada Day~!!! :D

Yup. That was today! X3 I got really super excited for it (don't ask. I'm a freak like that.) and was all, "OMG I could do a Canada cosplay and finish that awesome drawing I started a week ago and bake cookies and scones and drink tea(even though those are English) and... X3 *fangirly*"

... But I ended up waking up at noon and lazing around my house playing Harvest Moon AWL and attempting to clean and redesign my doll's rooms. XD I didn't even get dressed today! EPIC FAIL. (but I rarely get dressed during the summer, so it's nothing new. (^_^;)" )

So, instead of showing you guys that picture I drew (which I WILL get to; along with everything else I "said" I'd show... (._. ) ) Here's a picture of a cupcake with a maple leaf from when I went to a World Conference at my friend's house way back in May. ^-^
... Yeah. XD My friend invited a bunch of my other friends who were also countries (like I'm Canada, for instance.) and gave everyone a cupcake with their country's flag on it. :3 At first my friend (okay, since she's Sealand, I'm just gonna call her that from now on! I'll actually make a guide for people I frequently mention on the side of my blog...) thought I was coming, so she decorated one, but then five minutes later she was all, "Oh yeah, she's not coming... :c" so she ate that one. Then the next day at school she mentioned that to me and I told her that she never even INVITED me, so... XD Anyway, long story longer-than-it-really-should/has-to-be, she ran out of red frosting for the side stripes and- according to her- failed on the maple leaf (considering it's practically impossible to make a maple leaf, I'd say it was pretty good!). But oh well. It was a goood cupcake... n_n

I apologize if I majorly bored you; I do that "sometimes" (*cough*all the time*cough*) But if you read this far and give me a comment, I thank you greatly! :D

... Ohmygosh! I forgot to tell you guys that I ordered a new wig and an obitsu body (with extra hands! >:3) for my Pullip Yumie today! X3 I P-R-O-M-I-S-E I'll show you pictures when it gets here this time!!! (and I might finally get around to showing you Kanani's new-ish wig from the same seller... Even though I bought it in March. (._. ) )
